What we collect
When you ask for a Beacon Check, you send us your business name, town or service area, your name, your email and your OK for us to check your public listings. If you choose, you also send your website, phone number, Google Business Profile and social links, and what matters most to you. When you call or email, we receive what you tell us.
How we use it
To run your Beacon Check and to contact you about it. If you become a client, we also use it to deliver Beacon. We look at public information about your business, like your website and directory listings, as part of the check.
What we don't do
We don't sell your information. We don't add you to unrelated mailing lists. This site has no ad trackers.
Who helps us
We use service providers to host this site, receive form requests and route email. They only process data to provide those services.
The chat on this site
Beacon Helper is an AI assistant. What you type is sent to our hosting provider's AI service (Cloudflare Workers AI) to write an answer. We don't save ordinary chats; they stay in your browser tab until you close it. If you tap "Request a call" and tick the OK box, we save the details you enter, the chat so far and a short AI-written summary in our lead list, and email them to Jaco Van Eeden so he can call or email you back. Ask us any time to delete them. Voice playback and the microphone use your own browser's speech features: the chat only listens after you tap the mic, and your browser may send audio to its maker (for example Google or Apple) to turn it into text. Please don't type passwords or card numbers.
